Join us in the beer garden on Saturday, July 27th for a Summer Book Exchange!

Love books and brews? Relax in our beautiful beer garden, enjoy some refreshing drinks, and exchange your favorite reads with fellow book lovers!

The book exchange is open to all ages and lasts from 11 am – 4 pm. $1 from every pint sold during the event will be donated to the Whatcom Literacy Council.

How It Works:
Bring one or more books you’re ready to part with.
Swap these books with ones others have brought.
Enjoy your new reads with a drink in hand!

Join Bellingham Repertory Dance (BRD) for their Season 19 Kick-Off Party! This free admission event will have food and drink available for purchase from the Firehouse Cafe, as well as a special sneak peek at what’s to come this year. BRD will also launch an online campaign at the event with the goal of raising $5200 in 30 days to help cover the costs of their fall repertory concert. Attendees will be encouraged to donate at the event and gifts of any amount (even just $5!) will be appreciated.

Join BRD in raising a glass to another year of exciting dance performances!

Love movies? Love movie-related memorabilia? Join Scarecrow Video for our 4th Annual Parking Lot Sale!

Come from 12-6pm and pick through thousands of donated VHS tapes, laserdiscs, DVDs, Blu-rays, laserdiscs, players, posters, and laserdiscs for sale. All proceeds from this sale go directly to supporting Scarecrow Video.

We’re also partnering with the ZOID Festival to bring you free live music from our parking lot from 4-8pm.

PLEASE BE AWARE that our parking lot will be closed to cars. Nearby street parking is available.

We will have snacks and drinks available, as well as outdoor latrines.

Savor wines from Whatcom and Skagit wineries while supporting youth in our community! Each $40 ticket includes 10 wine tastings, live music, silent auction, and more. $70 VIP tickets also include an early reception from 5:00-6:00 with appetizers, access to reserve wines, and a commemorative glass.

This event is a fundraiser for Blue Skies for Children, a non-profit that serves over 1,000 youth in Whatcom and Skagit county each year by distributing new shoes, backpacks, and coats and providing funding for enrichment activities like sports, dance, martial arts, music lessons, and more.

Experience a weekend of erotic entertainment at the second annual Bellingham Erotic Ball — Whatcom County’s premier adult Halloween event. This year’s theme is “Leather and Lace” and will be hosted at the historic Hotel Leo in Downtown Bellingham on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

This year’s event will feature…

Dancing & Live Entertainment in the Crystal Ballroom
A vendor hall showcases erotic and queer artists’
Light appetizers are included in admission.
Kink Demonstration Room: a fun kink exploration space
Queer short film showings in the Clark Gable Theater on the lower level
And more!

This year’s event will be a “hotel takeover”! This allows us to use all the public spaces of the hotel for Erotic Ball events and entertainment. You’re invited to wear your sexiest costume — or whatever you feel comfortable in!

This event is put on by the Bellingham Queer Collective — a 501(c)(3) organization. Proceeds from the event will support the new BQC community center opening in May.

Standard Admission: $65 Early Bird ($85 after September 19th)

Contributor Admission: $100. Includes early admission, a swag bag, access to a private roped-off area, and priority line skips to the bar. This ticket does not include hotel reservations

Looking to Stay the Night?
Locals and visitors alike can reserve Hotel Leo rooms to make a weekend out of the event. When Saturday night party goers reserve a room using our specially rated code, part of the proceeds will go to the BQC!
