17th annual Bocce Ball Tournament @ Bellingham Sportsplex

This tournament, which benefits the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center, has become a spectator extravaganza, bringing people from across the region to cheer on teams! Along with the BBQ and beer garden, the event also includes music, a bounce house, face painting, kid’s activities, and more! Bring friends and family to enjoy the festivities.

Lunch: Salmon BBQ tickets are available for $10.00. Other concessions will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center, (WDRC).

Beer Garden: The Boundary Bay Brewery Beer Garden will serve beer beginning at 10 AM for $5. The beer garden is next to the courts (a great place for friends and family to cheer on the action). All alcohol must be consumed within the beer garden. The City of Bellingham has strict regulations regarding alcohol consumption. Help us ensure that we can continue to host the tournament by adhering to this policy.

Raffle: This year we’ll be raffling off exciting prizes throughout the day, including gift certificates to local breweries, tool kits from Bellingham Cold Storage, tickets to the Northwest Washington Fair and the Demolition Derby, and more! Raffle tickets are $1 each and will be available at the concessions table.

Books and Brews: April - Lynden @ Overflow Taps - Lynden

Our first ever Books and Brews was a success and we are happy to introduce April’s read: “B is for Beer,” by Tom Robbins.

Overflow Taps and Village Books in Lynden have partnered for a monthly book club for 2019. Each month we will read a new book picked by Village Books and Overflow Taps will pick a featured beverage to pair.

On the 4th Tuesday of each month, we will meet at Overflow Taps at 7 pm to casually discuss the book and share a pint!

April book group discussion host: Chuck Robinson, founder, Village Book and Paper Dreams, Lynden community member

Pick up your copy of “B is for Beer” by Tom Robins at Village Books then mosey on over to Overflow Taps Lynden for a Books and Brews growler (free with the purchase of a fill)!
