Bellingham Veg Fest is a free to attend, all-vegan, all-ages, family-friendly festival created to show how easy and fun it is to live a vegan lifestyle. This event welcomes anyone and everyone— from the veg-curious to the experienced vegans.
Veg Fest stands for compassion for all humans and non-humans, commitment to the health and sustainability of our planet, and support for our local vegan and vegan-friendly small business and nonprofits.
The Fest will feature food, art, crafts, and more. Everything sold, distributed, and displayed at this event will be 100% vegan.

Bottle of Smoke is returning to the beer garden, playing a FREE live show on Sunday, September 22nd as part of the Bellingham Celtic Festival!
Everyone is welcome to this beer garden show, starting at 2:30 pm in the beer garden. Come early for other Celtic Festival Events (bagpipes for beginners) or stay late and join us for our Sunday night trivia!

The Bellingham Celtic Festival is a community-driven, locally-sourced, artisanal, small-batch weekend celebrating Celtic music and culture through concerts, sessions, workshops, tea, and more.
Join thousands of Western Students in this annual tradition by walking the 20 minutes from WWU’s Red Square to Downtown Bellingham’s Depot Market Square. Once there, the downtown community will be ready to greet you with entertainment, music, food, and more.
Come play, watch, dance, eat, and explore!
Schedule:
4:30pm – meet in Red Square for live music from Analog Brass, free giveaways from Viking Athletics and the Foundation for WWU & Alumni, a welcome from A.S. President Malachi Phillips, WWU Athletics, and WWU President Sabah Randhawa.
5:00pm – The walk departs Red Square toward Downtown Bellingham. Free shuttle bus departs from the front of the Viking Union at 5:15 p.m. (priority to those with limited mobility).
5:30pm – Arrive at Depot Market Square, downtown Bellingham for free games, entertainment, food, and live music featuring 2023 Battle of the Bands winner, Frog Rocket, and Acrylic Angel. Welcome from Bellingham Mayor, Kim Lund.
7:00-9:00pm – Explore Downtown Bellingham! Dozens of local businesses and community organizations are celebrating WWU by offering activities, discounts, free merch and food, and more.

The Native Plant Sale & Celebration is an opportunity to purchase native plants at low cost and to check out booths for more plants for sale by local nurseries, art for your garden, and helpful information from conservation organizations. The Whatcom Youth Pride Coalition proudly presents the 2025 Youth PRIDE Parade and Festival – an opportunity for LGBTQIA+ youth and youth allies to walk together through a short, one mile parade route while the community stands along the sidelines and cheers them on! The parade culminates in a festival at Bellingham High School where there will be tables for community organizations to share their resources, music and performances, and food trucks for lunch!
Parade starts at 11:00 AM and the festival shortly thereafter, until 2:00 PM. We limit the parade participation to youth (asking other community members to line the route in support)
The festival (with food trucks, community organizations, a makers space, youth art market, free glitter tattoos, and performances) is all open to the public.
