Keyboard Games allows for a musical environment by including purposeful singing, chant, body movement, rhythm and tonal patterns for students to experience a rich musical environment. Activities are designed to help students develop the ability to “think” music with understanding while keyboard pieces will help students identify visual and aural patterns.

This 45-minute class is designed for children ages 3.5-5 yrs. of age with parents being part of the fun. Each class will include singing, movement, time at the piano and games.

This course will run throughout the academic year with 8 classes in the Fall, Winter and Spring session. Please contact the instructor with any questions you may have.

PREREQUISITES: None

AGES: 3.5-5

Keyboard Games for Preschoolers

8 Weeks

Dates: Tuesdays, September 21 – November 9, 2021
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM

Instructor: Leona Foster

Keyboard Games allows for a musical environment by including purposeful singing, chant, body movement, rhythm and tonal patterns for students to experience a rich musical environment. Activities are designed to help students develop the ability to “think” music with understanding while keyboard pieces will help students identify visual and aural patterns.

This 45-minute class is designed for children ages 3.5-5 yrs. of age with parents being part of the fun. Each class will include singing, movement, time at the piano and games.

This course will run throughout the academic year with 8 classes in the Fall, Winter and Spring session. Please contact the instructor with any questions you may have.

PREREQUISITES: None

AGES: 3.5-5

CLASS FEE:
Members: $108
Non-Members: $120

MATERIALS FEE:
$15 (Paid to the instructor on the first day of class)

Whatcom County Historical Society Mine Boss Edmund C. Fitzhugh @ Whatcom Museum - Old City Hall

Join the Whatcom County Historical Society for a local history program in the Rotunda Room of Old City Hall. Local historian Candy Wellman will talk about Edmund Clare Fitzhugh, head of the Sehome coal mine and company store, which was at one time the largest employer of labor in the Northwest in the mid-1800s. The program will be recorded by BTV-10.
