The Corinthian Yacht Club of Bellingham presents its annual dance and fundraiser for the Community Boating Center of Bellingham on Saturday, March 1. Show your support for Bellingham’s non-profit Community Boating Center! Silent auction of boating-related items and more. Donations via a separate “paddle auction.” Music by The Walrus. Acclaimed soprano, Sherrie Kahn, presents a solo recital in support of Music-St. Paul’s. She will be joined by pianist and vocal coach, Jay Rozendaal, of Seattle Opera, WWU and St. Paul’s. The program will include works of Barber, Brahms, Mozart and a special world premiere by Scott Henderson, “We Sing.” This concert is a benefit for the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church music program.

United Way is thrilled to host our first ever Cornhole Tournament fundraising event in Partnership with UpperLeft Cornhole. Show off your cornhole skills, bid on fabulous silent auction items, and compete for cash prizes while raising money for a great cause! Join the Whatcom Literacy Council for our 29th annual TRIVIA BEE fundraiser on Wednesday, April 30th from 6:30 pm to 8pm.
Ryan Budds of TRIVIA WITH BUDDS will team up with Scotty VanDryver of KAFE Radio to provide a fast paced and interactive platform for an online trivia night akin to Jeopardy! Register your team (3 people) on our webpage for $75 or just watch for free. Teams compete in four rounds on a variety of topics; this year one of the rounds will be all LOCAL (Whatcom County) trivia!! Winners going home with the traveling “Totten Trophy” and all proceeds go to support the wonderful free adult literacy programs offered by the
Whatcom Literacy Council. Because it is a virtual ZOOM event participants can play from anywhere, with answers submitted via cell phone.
For local residents who would like to meet in person Aslan Depot (1322 N State, Bellingham, WA) will be showing the event on a big screen, and supporting the Whatcom Literacy Council by donating $1 for every pint purchased. It is recommended that you arrive around 6pm to find a table and order drinks and food before the game begins at 6:30pm.

Whether you’re walking with us in person or cheering from afar, you can be part of this exciting day! KAFE 104.1 FM will be broadcasting live on-site, so if you can’t join us in person, tune in to hear the action unfold! And if you’re there, you may even get the chance to meet the team!
Walk with us to raise funds for Dementia Support Northwest and tour Amy’s Place, our new office headquarters and dementia-friendly community center inside Bellis Fair Mall.
Form a team and walk together, or take turns walking laps inside the mall. Raise donations from your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors to support the programs and services at Amy’s Place.
Amy’s Place will provide a permanent home for the Dementia Support Northwest office and staff, and lots of space to support our programs, including:
in-person and virtual support groups
free short-term respite care by appointment
dementia-friendly social activities
education and training sessions
dementia resource library
coffee and tea bar
cozy spaces to socialize or relax
lots of volunteer opportunities
While we are thrilled to open the doors to the public this spring, our need for community support is greater than ever. We need to raise funds this year to ensure we can keep our doors open to sustain (and hopefully expand) the services we offer to the community. Please join us for this exciting moment for DSNW, as we embark on a new phase in our journey, and help build community for those affected by dementia one step at a time!
