The Jansen Art Center welcomes The Kaeli Earle Trio for a one-night jazz performance. The Kaeli Earle Trio is comprised of longtime friends Alex Roemmele, Conner Helms and Kaeli Earle. The group’s shared love of improvising means no show happens the same way twice, leading the audience through wild experimentation and heavy grooves. Earle’s originals are originally written for bass and vocals and are catchy to begin with, but the trio takes them to the next level: pure magic made in the moment.
The group played a series of recorded house concerts in October 2015. Engineered, mixed and mastered by Roemmele, the week became the live album titled Bellingham Sessions Vol. 1, available on Spotify, Youtube and iMusic. Their first West-Coast tour in the summer of 2016 was accompanied by trumpet player Joel Schnaper and guitarist Jackson Bell; playing bars, house concerts and venues such as the Mint in Los Angeles and the Green Valley Festival in Oakland OR. They followed up with a second tour in 2017. They are currently preparing for their third coastal tour, booking shows, preparing new material and sharing memes through the internet while Earle finishes up her degree at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the Jansen Art Center Gallery Shop or online at jansenartcenter.org/events/the-kaeli-earle-trio.
