May 18 is Bike to Work and School Day – a day to celebrate the joy of bicycling.
If you ride every day, this is your day. You’ll see familiar faces on the streets and trails. If you haven’t been on a bike for years, but you’ve been thinking about getting going again, this is your day. You’ll have lots of company and plenty of encouragement.
At the end of the day we invite you to gather a group of friends from school, work, or wherever you are and bike to the Bike Party on Bay Street. We’ll have a beer garden, food trucks and crowds of people who love riding bikes! We’ve also planned lots of bicycling silliness for all ages. Party activities include tricycle races, bike polo, a bike photo booth and more.
