Ride the Teal Wave for Ovarian Cancer: Paddling for a Cure in Bellingham Bay

Ride the Teal Wave, a fund-raising event for Step Up America for Ovarian Cancer, is an easy-paced paddle from the Fairhaven Boat Launch. Paddlers may bring their own paddle boards or kayaks or rent watercraft from Community Boating Center for just $10. Paddlers will put in at 1 p.m. The CBC will provide a safety briefing and a safety boat. Afterwards, paddlers will gather at Stones Throw Brewing Co. for refreshments and prizes donated by local merchants such as Mallard, Haggen, Trader Joe, REI, Village Books and many more. Register to paddle for $10. Cheering the paddlers on from the walking path is free.
