Tribulations into Triumph: Holocaust Survivor Fred Fragner @ WCLS North Fork Library | Maple Falls | Washington | United States

Local author, Susan Lynn Sloan, will present some of the lessons that she learned from writing the story of Fred Fragner, a Holocaust survivor who lived out the last years of his life in Bellingham. In his twenties, Fred was shot, captured and tortured by the Nazis and sent to Buchenwald Concentration Camp for five years. After the war, he served as principal of one of the United Nations centers for orphaned children of WWII. Fred was able to take what he learned and created a wonderful life for himself and those who knew him. Come and learn about Fred’s greatest life lesson, to respect one another.
