YOGOMAN’s Jamaica – New Orleans Dance Riddims compel audiences to get up and dance with shout outs, sing a longs, and call and response lyrics. Lead singing drummer Jordan Rain leads his world class dance band through a variety of syncopated styles- Ska, Reggae, RnB, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Latin, Rock and New Orleans Traditional Jazz/Brass Band music. Yogoman Burning Band got their start in Bellingham on New Years Eve of 2005 and have been a Bellingham staple known for their joyous dance parties from the Pacific Northwest to New Orleans.
After a recent snowbird move to East Texas to set up a Southern home base fall-spring, YOGOMAN is joining his Bellingham Burning Band and are looking forward to their annual visit with family, friends and to enjoy the Pacific Northwests beautiful summer months. Yogoman Burning Bands classic upbeat party anthems will come back this year with some new material and they are happy to announce that their first Bellingham show of the year will take place at Lovitt restaurant in Fairhaven District of Bellingham on Friday June 1.
“Our music is our way of life. Its about stop trying to be cool and have fun,” said Rain in an article by Neil Abeles of the Texarkana Gazette.
“…It’s ALWAYS a good idea to spin a Yogoman track. Positive lyrics, infectious melodies, stellar musicianship…just great, great songs. They’ve gone from being unknown to KHUM listeners to being possibly the most requested band during my shift.” – Larry Trask/DJ, KHUM.com/104.7 FM, Arcata, CA
“If you’re not having a good time to YOGOMAN’s music, you have to ask yourself, do I know how to have a good time?” – Sam Beam of Iron and Wine
