Share in the spectacle of the holiday season as lighted boats parade close by at the Hotel Bellwether Compass Room. Gather at 6:00 pm on December 3rd for hors d’oeuvres. A no-host bar will be available. The party will continue until all boats have returned to Squalicum Harbor. Share the celebration of a great boating summer, and launch the Community Boating Center’s tenth anniversary year.
Tickets are $50 per person and are available at Brown Paper Tickets . Proceeds from this event will go to help provide scholarships to youth participants, fund our Youth Enrichment Program, and support the seasonal operations of the CBC. The Lighted Boat Parade is an annual event hosted by the Bellingham Yacht Club. This is a weather dependent parade which is visible from Fairhaven, Bellingham Cruise Terminal, Taylor Dock, and Squalicum Harbor.
The Community Boating Center is a nonprofit charity with a mission to foster small-watercraft education and safe recreation on Bellingham Bay. Established in 2007, the CBC provides skills classes in sea kayaking, sailing, rowing and paddleboarding, as well as dry moorage and rental of small watercraft. The Center enables access to public natural resources and encourages enjoyment and conservation of the marine environment.
