Wild Things:Toddler&Family Nature Exploration @ Marine Park

Join us every Friday and Saturday morning from 9:30-11:00am to explore local parks with your little one! Wild Things is a placed-based community program that meets in a different local park each month to see what nature has to offer. We get curious about whatever natural wonders we discover as we move at a toddler’s pace, then wrap up with a “snack and story time”. In June we will be meeting at Marine Park to explore the shore and heron rookery. Best for ages 0-6, older siblings always welcome. We meet year round rain or shine. Registration is encouraged, but not required. Program is donation based/pay-what-you-can

Local nonprofit Wild Whatcom is launching a new, monthly program by and for BIPOC individuals and families to build community outside and connect with local nature in accessible Bellingham parks. We will be having a get-to-know-us cookout on June 22nd so that folks interested in this program can get to know our staff, share food, and learn more about what this program will entail. Experience a weekend of erotic entertainment at the second annual Bellingham Erotic Ball — Whatcom County’s premier adult Halloween event. This year’s theme is “Leather and Lace” and will be hosted at the historic Hotel Leo in Downtown Bellingham on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

This year’s event will feature…

Dancing & Live Entertainment in the Crystal Ballroom
A vendor hall showcases erotic and queer artists’
Light appetizers are included in admission.
Kink Demonstration Room: a fun kink exploration space
Queer short film showings in the Clark Gable Theater on the lower level
And more!

This year’s event will be a “hotel takeover”! This allows us to use all the public spaces of the hotel for Erotic Ball events and entertainment. You’re invited to wear your sexiest costume — or whatever you feel comfortable in!

This event is put on by the Bellingham Queer Collective — a 501(c)(3) organization. Proceeds from the event will support the new BQC community center opening in May.

Standard Admission: $65 Early Bird ($85 after September 19th)

Contributor Admission: $100. Includes early admission, a swag bag, access to a private roped-off area, and priority line skips to the bar. This ticket does not include hotel reservations

Looking to Stay the Night?
Locals and visitors alike can reserve Hotel Leo rooms to make a weekend out of the event. When Saturday night party goers reserve a room using our specially rated code, part of the proceeds will go to the BQC!
