LAW Advocates Dinner and Auction @ Settlemyer Hall

LAW Advocates Dinner and Auction @ Settlemyer Hall

Our annual Lawyers Take Orders Dinner and Auction fundraiser is October 18th. This event raises nearly a quarter of our budget, helping us provide critical legal assistance to more than 1,300 low-income families and individuals each year in Whatcom County.

LAW Advocates is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in downtown Bellingham. We have provided free civil legal for over 30 years. With the help of generous donors like you, we are able to offer our Tenant Clinic, helping those facing eviction or unlivable conditions. We are able to assist domestic violence victims and survivors to obtain court-ordered parenting plans, allowing them to keep themselves and their children safe. We are able to maintain Street Law, a drop-in legal advice clinic at the Bellingham Public Library and Whatcom Community College that allows those with any kind of civil legal question to speak with an attorney for free. These programs are provided through the tireless work of volunteer attorneys, paralegals and students, as well as that of our small but dedicated staff.
