Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism is seeking community input to help determine the interest in and the need for a potential multi-purpose event and sports facility in Whatcom County.
Some benefits of such a facility could include enhanced community health by increasing access to athletic opportunities for the entire county; increased ability to host youth/adult sports events showcasing our local athletes while attracting non-local state, regional and national sporting events year-round; develop and diversify Whatcom County’s sports tourism economy with increased hotel room nights and added patronage to local restaurants and businesses from out-of-town visitors during the shoulder season; provide large enough indoor space to host tradeshows and large events or concerts with up to 10,000 spectators.
In an effort to get a broad range of feedback from residents, Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism invites the community to take an online survey. To participate click here: Bellingham Whatcom County Community Survey. Responses are due no later than November 11, 2019.
