Happy Mother’s Day Whatcom County! This holiday is a great opportunity to celebrate mothers, in every form. So whether she gave you life, raised you right or merely inspires the best in you, be sure to let her know how much you love and appreciate her. - Explore the art scene with some great local exhibits. “Haunts of the Heart: Landscapes of Lynn Zimmerman” and the “Spring Juried Exhibit” is showing at the Jansen Art Center. The paintings of Kayla White are at the Inn at Lynden.
- Take Mom to an art class with Skagit Valley Tulip Festival’s 2017 poster artist, Trish Harding. Or sign up for a ceramics class with Brian O’Neill at the Jansen Art Center.
- Check out the Wine Walk in Downtown Bellingham.
- Enjoy the Opus Performing Arts Spring Showcase at Mount Baker Theatre.
- Inspire your next generation by taking them to the Bellingham GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math and Science) Fair.
- Treat mom to a delightful tea party.
- Or take her out for a special Mother’s Day lunch.
- And be sure to take some time to savor the sunshine (hopefully!).
