Class Description: Dye Fabrics Intro – Learn the basics of how to use various tie-dye methods, techniques, and applications onto a recycled piece of fabric. It can be applied onto a T-shirt or apparel that you reuse. You can also use this fabric later in your own art or sewing project.
Participant Requirements: Apron, or a smock, or a work shirt to wear. Bring your own OR pre-purchase from Ragfinery 3-6 swatches of fabrics, at least one of each type: Cotton, Linen, and a Rayon OR a natural fiber blend – but NO polyester and NO silk. Each swatch of fabric should be between 1?4 – 1 yard of fabric. Optional: Bring an old T- shirt to tie-dye.
