We are thrilled to announce that Common Threads is hosting its first annual School Garden & Food Education Summit this Fall! The event is open to all parents, teachers, food & garden educators, and others interested in seed-to-table education with elementary and middle school kids.

Outdoor Classroom Management facilitated by Whitney Cohen from Life Lab
The essential components of the workshop will be discussion, demonstration, and role-plays around best practices in outdoor classroom management and strategies. Most appropriate for anyone who is either currently in a garden educator/food educator role or aspiring to be in such a role

The Growing Classroom facilitated by Whitney Cohen from Life Lab
This is LifeLab’s flagship garden education workshop that offers: An overview of The Growing Classroom activity guide and instructional model and a hands-on sampling of activities and curricular connections (including NGSS and Common Core) Appropriate for teachers and garden educators alike.

2-day tickets (Sept 6 AND Sept 7) – $175
