This is an event for miniature radio-controlled tugs to do things that demonstrate what full-size tugs do in a friendly competitive setting. Modelers and their tugs come from all over the Pacific NW and Canada for this internationally recognized event. Tugs will be navigating a barge through a course demonstrating their skills in doing so. Then they will attempt to salvage a derelict vessel and precision dock it. Model tugs and others will be on display as well showing the work done to recreate them in miniature. Tugs will represent styles from the vintage to the modern tractor tugse and range in size from eight inches to five feet. Builders/skippers willing to talk about their models and inform others about the hobby. The event is free to the public, but there is a charge for those entering the contest. This is the 23rd annual event and had people from as far away as England and Australia come to compete.
