Lake Whatcom Railway will be running our only train of the summer on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Be serenaded by the music of Ben the Banjo Player as you enjoy the ride to scenic Mirror Lake!
All ages are welcome to relive memories and create new ones on this nostalgic ride through history. You will have the opportunity to ride on train cars that have been in use for more than 100 years! Throughout your visit, you will see many pieces of railroad history, including our antique steam engine, number 1070. Lake Whatcom Railway is dedicated to the preservation of railway history, and funds collected go towards the restoration and preservation of this American legacy. Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to departure, so that you may explore the century of railway history on site, and receive your ticket prior to boarding. You will receive a ticket for the conductor to punch on the train, so be sure to show your Eventbrite ticket at the ticket tent.
We will also have our antique hand car available for those who wish to experience what it was like to work on the railroad 100 years ago.
