The Constitution, the Supreme Court and the Executive Branch – Where Are We Today? @ Bellingham Yacht Club

Join Bellingham City Club in welcoming our June speaker, Garrett Epps, Professor of Practice at the University of Oregon School of Law, and a nationally renowned Constitutional scholar, law professor, podcaster and journalist, formerly with The Atlantic and now the Washington Monthly, who will provide perspective on current events with the Supreme Court and Executive Branch. In the first 100 days in office, President Trump issued 137 executive orders, resulting in 227 lawsuits challenging his executive orders. Professor Garrett Epps will explore the constitutional context of this historic time and help us understand what it means to all of us.

Sensory Workshop w/ Northwest Natura: Tree and Flower Identification @ Private Land
Aug 2 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Sensory Workshop w/ Northwest Natura: Tree and Flower Identification @ Private Land

Come take a walk in a beautiful forest to identify trees and flowers by not only their features, but they’re textures and aromas. You do not need your vision to get to know the trees and flowers, as you’ll find in this unique course led by Salish Sea Naturalist and botanist, Jazmen Yoder.

In this sensory-focused course we’ll spend the day immersed in riverside habitat with our feet in the cool waters of Boulder Creek while we identify different flowers and trees by their unique effects on our senses.

If you are looking for a mental health day this one is designed to be slow-paced and meditative.

If you are vision impaired, this is a great class to come to but please beware that the forest has uneven ground. Jazmen can assist you if necessary. Inform Norhwest Natura of special needs or requests.
