Addressing such big questions needn’t be a dreary exercise, it can be entertaining and even fun for the whole family. The first of its kind in Whatcom County, this end-of-life planning event, called “What’s up, Doc? We’re dying to talk” will offer door prizes, light refreshments and music, and feature stories to humanize end-of-life preparedness for everyone.
Those involved include:
•Master of ceremonies, Billy Tierney, manager of Ryan Stiles’ The Upfront Improve Theater.
•Dr. Scott Foster, chief medical officer, PeaceHealth Medical Group;
•Dr. Gib Morrow, PeaceHealth Medical Group physician champion, Honoring Choices Initiative.
•Representative speakers of every decade from people in their the 20s to 90s.
Are you a student interested in this topic? To reward learning more about this critical issue, five $1,500 college scholarship door prizes will be awarded to Bellingham Technical College, Northwest Indian College, Skagit Valley College, Whatcom Community College and Western Washington University students attending this March 21 event (current student ID required).
