Learn how to make vector graphics using free open source software Inkscape! Vector graphics are infinitely scalable images that are great for making shapes, logos, and files to cut out on our laser cutter or vinyl cutter!
After this class you will be able to:
Understand the differences between Vector and Raster (pixel) images
Open and edit an existing vector files (ie EPS, AI or SVG)
Draw your own vector graphics
Convert a raster image to a vector file
Optimize your vector file for the laser cutter
1.5 Hours. Bring a laptop with a downloaded copy of Inkscape if possible. We do have 4 desktop machines in our computer lab to use as well.
