Volunteers are needed to bring Roots of Empathy to your local Elementary Schools—where a baby helps children learn about feelings, healthy relationships, and experience less bullying.

Join Whatcom Program Manager Sara Airoldi at the Bellingham Public Library, Central Branch, on Monday, August 21, at 2:30pm-3pm (plus Q&A) to hear about volunteer opportunities in the award-winning Roots of Empathy program that improves the mental health and well-being of elementary school children.

Opportunities include:
-Volunteers to be Instructors: 1x week classroom instruction through school year, with training on evidence-based curriculum as well as mentor support
-Parent and “Tiny Teacher”: 1x month, though the school year, babies 2-4 months old in October

Interested schools in Whatcom for 2023-2024:
Bellingham Elementary: Cordata, Parkview, Roosevelt, Columbia, Lowell, Wade King
