Learn PetSaver CPR, first aid and other pet care techniques at a comprehensive eight-hour certification course offered through Whatcom Community College’s Community and Continuing Education program. The class is designed for all pet professionals including veterinary staff, boarders, groomers, trainers and pet-sitters, as well as pet owners. Participants will acquire wellness care and skills including canine and feline CPR; assessing bleeding, shock, and choking; applying a bandage and splint; how to perform a 10-second snout-to-tail health assessment; and dental, preventive, and senior care.
The $95 course fee includes a 42-page PetSaver guide and PetSaver Certificate valid for two years. Instructor and licensed veterinary technician Lynn Russell has more than 25 years’ experience in small animal medicine. Her passion is teaching others comprehensive pet care.
