Literacy Breakfast with Nancy Pearl

Join us for the Whatcom Literacy Council’s biggest fundraiser, the Literacy Breakfast, where the witty and wonderful Nancy Pearl makes her book recommendations for the year. Village Books will be on hand to sell her suggested titles.

Nancy Pearl is a best-selling author, librarian, literary critic and NPR commentator.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the Whatcom Literacy Council’s free adult literacy programs. Working with over 100 trained volunteers each year their free tutoring and small group classes set people on a course for good jobs with better wages, helping neighbors become more stable and equipped members of society.

A registration fee of $11 is required via the website www.whatcomliteracy.org to hold a seat. This event will sell out, so there will be no walk ups. A donation is expected during the program.
