Dr. Lombard is the past medical director of the Mount Baker Kidney Center, a current board member of the Mount Baker Foundation, and is raising awareness about kidney disease.
Chronic kidney disease is called “the silent epidemic” because it is typically not diagnosed until an advanced stage when it is more difficult to treat. Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two primary causes of kidney disease.
