Gongfu Cha: The Chinese Tea Ceremony

Every tea culture has its tea rituals. The Japanese have their precise and rigorous Chanoyu tea ceremony that can take hours. The English have their proper and formal afternoon tea. In Argentina there is the social group sharing of a yerba mate gourd. China, home of tea, has many different tea rituals. This presentation will demonstrate gongfu cha, a tea ritual that masterfully controls every aspect of tea infusion with beautiful and unique teaware. Traditional Chinese teas will be sampled.
