Open to middle school girls, Whatcom Community College’s Girls Go Tech workshop is for students to enjoy hands-on labs in which they:
– Experiment with information security vulnerabilities and safeguards
– Apply knowledge learned about circuits to wire a scaled down model of a room
– New for 2019 – design a pin, key chain, or other nifty object and make it using a laser cutter
Registration fee includes a commemorative t-shirt for the student and lunch for the student and her parent/guardian. Scholarships are available.
