Join us for a two hour outdoor concert in beautiful Elizabeth Park! Bring your lawn chairs and relax in this lovely neighborhood setting.
These Family-Friendly concerts are a Mayor’s Arts Awards recipient for 2018. Concerts are free, and sponsored by The Eldridge Society for History and Preservation, in partnership with Bellingham Parks and Recreation. Donations to support The Eldridge Society will be gratefully accepted at the concerts.
Vendors will bring an assortment of deliciousness for dinner and dessert for your enjoyment. Picnickers are encouraged to recycle and compost to be good park stewards. Alcohol and vaping are not permitted in the park. Please leash your pets!
We, and the city and the state, will keep a careful eye on Covid spikes and will honor any adjustments in Covid guidelines.
It is the mission of Out of the Ashes to connect hearts and souls to the eternal magic of music and to increase the awareness of positive possibilities in everyday life experiences.
Our goal is to share the joy and passion that our members find in creative expression with neighbors in our community. Jon Dalgarn is the founder and facilitator of Out of the Ashes. He has been a professional musician for over 40 years performing as a singer/songwriter for a number of independent artists and labels. Jon has worked with people with disabilities since 1999, beginning residentially with a local agency, and later managing a sheltered workshop and a mobile crew. His love for music followed him, and soon he was jamming with the people he served. This passion for music transcended physical, emotional and language barriers and Out of the Ashes was born. Members bring a sense of joy to every performance and the audience is encouraged to grab a percussive instrument and sing along. For more information check us out at www.outoftheashes.us
