A Conversation and Music Video Release with Shawnee Kilgore and Joss Whedon

Singer-songwriter Shawnee Kilgore left Bellingham in the fall of 2010 and though not bound for Austin, TX found herself there a few months later. The sunshine was good and she decided to stay.

In 2014 she ran a Kickstarter campaign that was backed by Hollywood director Joss Whedon and the two co-wrote a song via email while he was filming Avengers II. Four months later they released Big Giant Me on iTunes (and spoke on the phone for the first time). They decided to keep writing together and see what came of it.

What came of it was a gorgeously crafted and heartbreakingly personal 6-song EP, as well as a breathtaking music video shot for the project’s title track, Back to Eden, featuring Richard Jenkins and Ashley Johnson. Join us for the video’s Northwest premier followed by an in person Q&A with Shawnee and the man himself.
