Come and join us for a celebration of healthy kids and healthy food! The 6th annual School Garden Harvest Dinner will be hosted by Common Threads at Whatcom Middle School (in the cafeteria) on Thursday, October 29th. The meal will be kid-grown and kid-prepared, with produce coming from Common Threads’ partner school gardens.
This event is open to all community members, and particularly celebrates the students, teachers, and families who are growing delicious food in school gardens. It is a chance to break bread together, to celebrate and learn about healthy food!
This is a vegetarian meal, we do our best to accommodate food allergies.
3:45pm Cooking begins
5:00pm Music & games, touring the Whatcom Middle School
5:30pm Dinner served
6:30pm The Real Food Show by the Community Food Co-op (see http://youtu.be/xNxZ6RNJY_E for a video about the show!)
$5 suggested minimum donation – no one will be turned away for lack of funds!
