Bellingham’s Fourth Annual Lumber and Lace Ball to Benefit the Whatcom Hospice Foundation

The ball is a semi-formal early-1900’s Pacific Northwest theme event (think lacey Victorian dresses and loggers and trappers of the old days) and costumes are highly encouraged! The ball features boot-stompin’ live music, professional dance instruction, real old-fashioned film photographs, professional hair-do’s by the Beauty Institute, personal poems by The Poem Store, a beard competition, lite appetizers, an amazing silent auction, 50/50 raffle and much more!

The purpose of the Lumber and Lace Ball is to create a unique, relaxed and fun atmosphere to familiarize and educate younger generations about Hospice services, celebrate those we have lost and to raise funds for the Foundation to support Hospice services. Last year, over 220 guests attended the event and over $8,000 was raised.

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Kulshan Brewing Company who has crafted a special beer specifically to help promote and raise funds for this event! The Lumber and Lace Bootstrap Brown Ale can be found at both Kulshan locations and at various establishments throughout Bellingham and Whatcom County. A portion of Boostrap Brown pint sales at Kulshan will go towards the Whatcom Hospice Foundation!

The ball is a 21+ event and adult beverages will be served including our very own Lumber and Lace Bootstrap Brown by Kulshan Brewing Company. Doors open at 6:00, music starts at 7:30. Tickets are $25/person and are available online at brownpapertickets.com and at both Kulshan Brewery locations and the Downtown Community Food Co-op. Advanced tickets include a free drink.
