The festive 18th Annual Scandinavian Fair, hosted by the Bellingham Daughters of Norway, is moving to a new location this year. It will be at the new Holiday Inn and Suites at the Bellingham airport, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4.
The Fair features a Scandinavian bakery that will include lefse, holiday breads, cookies and cakes. Swedish meatballs, yellow pea soup, desserts and beverages will be served in the Norsk Café all day, Vendors from the northwest will be there with gift items that are handmade and imported. Jensen’s Ferndale Floral and Scandi Butik and Gifts of Fairhaven are local vendors.
Gift items from the Lodge craft tables will feature doll, children and adult aprons that represent each Scandinavian country, machine embroidered bags, woven hearts and supplies to make Scandinavian delicacies.
Entertainment will feature Joanne Donnellan of Ferndale playing her Hardanger fiddle, music by Dansaspel, and the Bellingham Women’s Scandinavian Chorus.
