The Whatcom County Library System hosts seven screenings as part of the 16th Annual Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival. Discussions will follow each film. Free admission.

1:30 p.m. – “Groundswell Rising” (70min/2014/USA). People from across the political spectrum organize to oppose natural gas fracking.

3:00 p.m. – “Food Chains” (86min/2014/USA). In this exposé, an intrepid group of Florida farmworkers battle to defeat the $4 trillion global supermarket industry through their ingenious Fair Food program, which partners with growers and retailers to improve working conditions for farm laborers in the United States.
