First Fed is inviting photographers of all ages and experience levels to submit their best shots of the Pacific Northwest for the 2025 Proudly PNW photo contest.
As a community bank that’s been serving the region for over 100 years, First Fed is deeply committed to supporting local voices and creativity. The Proudly PNW photo contest is just one way the bank invests in celebrating what makes each community unique.
This beloved annual contest celebrates the beauty, spirit, and creativity of our communities. Winning photos will be featured in the 2026 First Fed Photo Calendar—returning this year by popular demand—as well as across the bank’s marketing channels. Calendars will be available for free at First Fed branches later this year, while supplies last.
From dramatic landscapes to candid moments of everyday life, the Proudly PNW contest celebrates what makes the Pacific Northwest so special. It’s not just about scenery—it’s about community. “We love seeing the world through the eyes of our neighbors,” says Abby Sill, Assoicate Director of Design at First Fed. “This contest is a way to spotlight local talent while honoring the places and people that shape our shared home.”
The contest is open for submissions July 11 – August 29, 2025, and offers over $1,400 in cash prizes. Fourteen winning photos will be selected—one for each month of the calendar, one for the cover, and one chosen by community votes as the “Fan Favorite.” Selected images may also be used in First Fed’s advertising, social media, branch screens, and other marketing materials.
Entries can reflect a wide range of PNW life, including:
- PNW Landscapes: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, British Columbia, and Alaska. Show off your favorite spots in your hometown!
- People in Nature: People hiking, surfing, kayaking, and doing other Pacific Northwest activities.
- PNW Wildlife & Animals: Animals enjoying their natural habitat in the PNW.
- Local Landmarks: Your favorite Pacific Northwest landmarks! Bridges, interesting statues or buildings, cityscapes, and landmarks—we’d love to see them!

Each participant is allowed 20 entries in this year’s contest. Photos must be taken within the Pacific Northwest and meet basic eligibility requirements, including permission for any identifiable individuals featured. Full details and submission guidelines can be found in the Official Rules.
In addition to being featured in the 2026 calendar, winners will receive cash prizes—$150 for the calendar cover, $120 for the Fan Favorite, and $100 each for the 12 monthly photos. But for many, the real reward is being part of a collective tribute to this remarkable region.

“Every year we’re blown away by the talent in our communities,” adds Sill. “It’s inspiring to see the connection people have to this place—and to each other—through photography.”
Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or someone who loves capturing moments on your phone, this is your chance to share your view of the PNW and be part of something special. Submit your entries by August 29, 2025, and help tell the story of the Pacific Northwest—one photo at a time.
