Nightingale Healthcare, a family-owned healthcare management company based in Bellingham that owns and operates skilled nursing and assisted living communities throughout the States of Washington and Oregon, has appointed a new Regional Director of Assisted Living Operations, Carrie Danielsen. In this capacity, Danielsen will provide effective supervision of and oversee general planning, directing, and coordinating for the company’s various facilities, including those located out of state. She will assume this new position effective February 1, 2020.

“Carrie possesses a depth of knowledge as well as an innate ability to lead,” said Pete Wolkin, Chief Operations Officer for Nightingale Healthcare. “As a member of our Nightingale management team since 2014, we’ve had the opportunity to witness her strengths as a leader and genuine compassion as a caregiver and person over the years. We’re excited to watch her continued success in this new role.”

Prior to this position, Danielsen was the Executive Director for Summit Place Assisted Living, an assisted living community located in Bellingham that is owned and operated by Nightingale Healthcare. Bringing with her two decades of experience in senior care, she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the building, including nursing, maintenance, dining services, and personnel with the goal of providing excellence in service to the residents she served. Previously, Danielsen was the Resident Care Manager at adjacent Mt. Baker Care Center, also a Nightingale Healthcare community, and had gained valuable experience at another nearby nursing home as well. She has been a Licensed Practical Nurse since 1998 and has since completed the LEAD Assisted Living Executive Training Program.
