On Wednesday, November 8, National Signing Day, Bellingham Bay Swim Team’s Emma Carlton, Emma Frey and Yanran Le, in a signing ceremony in front of their club team mates, committed to swim for their respective colleges in fall 2018. All are National Scholastic All-Americans.
Emma Carlton, Mt.Vernon High School, to Texas A&M. Texas A& M is currently ranked 3rd in NCAA.
Emma Frey, Mt. Vernon High School, to University of the Pacific. She will join 2017 Squalicum graduate and BBST teammate, Rowan King, as a UofP Tiger.
Yanran Le, Squalicum High School, to Columbia University. (Though Ivy Leagues do not send a Letter of Intent, Le posed with team mates and head coach Jay Brenner in acknowledgement of her commitment to swim for the Lions.)
