WWU Women’s Soccer National Championship Celebration

The Vikings captured their first-ever NCAA women’s soccer national championship, beating three-time defending champion Grand Valley State 3-2 on December 3, 2016 in Kansas City.

A national championship doesn’t happen every day. Join us in celebrating the amazing accomplishments of our WWU women’s soccer team.

A student MARCH TO THE CELEBRATION procession from the Wade King Recreation Center to the Viking Union with the WWU Women’s National Champion Soccer team and their sweet trophy – meeting at 3:30 p.m.
WWU alumni, faculty, staff, parents, fans, and supporters will enjoy a reception in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room at 3:30 p.m. before welcoming WWU students and the women’s soccer team.

Wait, there’s one more thing…

Anyone who registers for this event will be entered into a drawing to win season tickets for women’s soccer in 2017 along with an autographed women’s soccer ball from the 2016 National Champions.

Student March Timeline:

3:30 p.m. Students meet at the Rec Center and join the National Championship soccer team in a short walk to the Viking Union
4:00 p.m. Enjoy free food and the festivities
5:00 p.m. Students say one more congratulations before heading home
