Workshop: Motivational Interviewing — Motivating Change with Addicted Clients

Motivational interviewing is a research based, solution-focused approach to helping people find motivation for healthy change. While this seminar will focus on addictions, the principles of Motivational Interviewing are applicable in a wide variety of settings and client populations.

Dr. Auxier is Associate Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Associated Canadian Theological Schools of TWU in Langley, BC. His professional experience includes positions as a psychiatric social worker, a primary therapist at an in-patient addictions treatment facility, private practice, and pastoral counseling.
