BAAY’s State Street Theatre Company (SSTC) is a program dedicated to the artistry and talent of our local youth aged 15-18. Each summer, SSTC stages a full-length at the Mount Baker Theatre’s Walton Theatre that allows us to explore more challenging material and meaningful ideas with older students.
With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Musical numbers include “Willkommen,” “Cabaret,” “Don’t Tell Mama,” and “Two Ladies.”
The August 26 performance of Cabaret is a dinner theatre fundraiser! Doors open at 5:30 PM and the show starts at 7:00 PM. This event will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, drinks for sale, and raffles! All proceeds benefit BAAY. All drink sales at the event benefit MBT.
