Have you witnessed salmon in local creeks? What challenges do salmon face in the great migration that they experience in their lifetime? Join us to search for salmon and learn about the different types of salmon that call the Nooksack River home.
This course is scheduled for one day in the fall, selected to increase the chance of seeing salmon spawn in the wild, while learning more about these amazing creatures.
Class starts at the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA) office in Bellingham. Then participants will drive on their own to Glacier where we will explore a stream and a riverside trail. Walking to the best viewing areas will be moderate.
Dress in layers and be prepared for inclement weather. Bring water, a sack lunch, and consider packing binoculars and a camera.
