In Progress Screening: Clearwater with the Director

People protect what they love, but they must know it to love it. Clearwater, a documentary film by Longhouse Media, aims to get audiences to know, love and protect the Salish Sea. Producer/Director Tracy Rector of Longhouse Media, Emmy Award winning cinematographer Laura James, Coast Salish traditional artist Joe Seymour (Squaxin Island) and film composer BC Campbell will present excerpts from the work-in-progress and will be on hand to discuss the film. The event will be introduced by Julie Trimingham, one of the film’s producers and a local activist for the Salish Sea. Clearwater is supported by the Sundance Institute, Tribecca Institute and will be broadcast on PBS (and yes, it still needs funding). All revenues from tonight’s event will go towards finishing Clearwater. Presented by Longhouse Media.
