Govinda Rosling, photographer and co-coordinator of the Guillemot Research Group, presents data gathered by 50 Whidbey Island citizen science volunteers studying the Pigeon Guillemot since 2004. She shares photographs of this endearing seabird with bright red feet and gives an overview of its life cycle. You’ll hear about the study objectives including the determination of the fish that adults deliver to chicks, reproductive success, disturbances, colony behavior and the next steps.
