The Faith and Nature dialogue features Reverend Charis Weathers talking with William L. John, Xwelxwelat’se, Lummi Elder and Cultural Story-teller. Mr. John graduated from The Evergreen State College with a degree in Indigenous Tribal Studies and served as a motivational speaker and cross cultural orientation consultant, in addition to teaching the Lummi Language at both Ferndale High School and Northwest Indian College.

“How can faith inform a love for nature?” This is the central question driving the year-long series, Faith & Nature, hosted by the Whatcom Land Trust. Each episode features leaders from faith traditions such as Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Native American spirituality, Judaism, Atheism, and Unitarianism.
