Make it a day of Steampunk’d Victoriana in Historic Fairhaven and enjoy a variety of entertainment and activities for the third annual Fairhaven Steampunk Festival, presented by Village Books and the Bellingham Steampunk Society. This family-friendly event will feature a wide variety of activities, entertainment, food and vendors. Listen to music by Jody Ellen, formerly of Abney Park; shop from a variety of regional vendors; participate in presentations and author readings, and stroll around in your Steampunk finery. - 11 a.m.-noon in the Readings Gallery of Village Books: A Reading from the “Bellingham Herald’s Memories of Light” serial novel
- Noon-1 p.m. in the Readings Gallery at Village Books: Taimi Gorman, “Haunted Fairhaven”
- 1 p.m.-2 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Village Inn: Karina Cooper, reading from the St. Croix Chronicles
- 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Readings Gallery of Village Books: “Bringing History to Life” discussion featuring Chris Brewer, Education Coordinator for the Whatcom Museum and John Jenkins, President and Co-founder of the Spark Museum
- 3 p.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Readings Gallery: Steampunk story time for kids and families
