Community Helpers Storytime with a Construction Worker

Highline Construction has partnered with Whatcom County Library System to enhance WCLS’s existing preschool Storytime program this fall.

An excavation-themed Storytime session will take place at Ferndale Public Library on Friday, November 3rd at 10:30am.

Levi Nyberg, Civil Production Manager for Highline Construction, will read a construction-themed picture book, answer questions about working in construction, and give kids a chance to climb aboard a real excavator.

The visit is part of a multi-week “Community Helpers” Storytime series hosted by the Whatcom County Library System. This series features guests from Whatcom Humane Society, Whatcom County Fire District, and Highline Construction and gives our youngest residents the opportunity to learn more about various professions and understand how the uniformed adults they see in the community contribute to helping make our county a safe place to live.
