Communicating With Computers

This class is about how we humans work with computers. Humans think and computers compute. Thinking and computing are vastly different and bridging the gulf between the two is hard. Computer engineers try to build systems that anyone can use without instructions. They seldom succeed. But if you understand the engineer’s “building blocks,” you’ll have a huge leg up on communicating with your own computer. The lessons here apply to all computers— desktop, laptop, tablet or phone.
