For November Art Walk Make.Shift Gallery presents the large, narrative woodblock prints of Seattle artist and educator, Bradley Taylor. Taylor’s artist statement reveals his flair for satire and storytelling.
“Labeled a fraud by many, Bradley Taylor recognizes himself as one of the world’s foremost scientific researchers. Taylor’s more outlandish claims—that squirrels govern gravity for example—have garnered heavy skepticism. Yet Taylor assures the scientific community that his information is collected from carefully selected sources such as the internet, talk radio, and men’s room stalls.” Taylor currently heads Book Arts and Print Arts Resource Labs at Cornish College of the Arts and works as a master printer for artists in the Seattle area.
Taylor’s work will be on display in the Make.Shift Art Space Gallery for the month of November with an opening reception.
