Escaping from deadly violence, unaccompanied children from the Middle East travel alone to Turkey where they are smuggled by rubber boats to the Greek island of Lesvos only to find that their perilous journey for a new life is far from over. Join us for readings from a collection of short stories entitled Boys of Lesvos by Stuart Rich based upon the true events of refugee children. In spring of 2016 Stuart worked as a volunteer at a residential transit house for refugee boys in Mytilini, Greece.
