The Bellingham Community Chorus will delight you with sounds of the holiday season. Starting as far back as 1582, you will begin your journey in Latin antiquity with the St. James Presbyterian Church handbell choir joining us on “Personet Hodie.” You will continue your journey though 17th century France with “Masters in This Hall” followed by a traditional French Carol, “People, Look East,” arranged by John Leavitt. Also from France, “Patapan Fantasia.” Moving on to Great Britain, your next stop will be in Ireland for “The Wexford Carol” and then off to England for “The Holly and the Ivy” Joining the Chorus will be Deborah Arthur on flute.

The men and women of the choir will then each delight you with their own songs highlighting “One Light” and “Tomorrow Shall be My Dancing Day.” Next, you will be whisked away through scenes of winter with snow and candles, dancing, shopping and “The Nutcracker.” A good ole Spiritual will follow along with a traditional Ethiopian Christmas song, “Issay, Issay!” Finally, you will be invited to sing along with the choir to some traditional holiday songs, so bring your singing voices.
